Paperwork: part 2

Just back from my excursion to South America (which was completely awesome) last Friday.

While there I received an email from my college about accommodation, with a list of possible rooms, costs, descriptions etc. Rent of these is anywhere between 90-130 pounds per week, so indicated highest preference for some of the cheaper rooms and lowest preference for the rooms only available in the 9 months there are classes each year, as well as a starting date of September 23 to give me a week to settle in, and sent the form back via email.

Back home there was the offer for my DPhil position and scholarship, accepted via email to speed up the process and asked some questions which were answered today. All of it is conditional on sending them my MSc degree certificate, and I'd like to delay graduating to keep my student benefits and position as teaching assistant as long as possible. Even though the letter was worded very strictly (sending the degree certificate, receiving the contract and sending it back should all be done before October 1 or they'll give the position to someone else), after emailing they told me it was not a problem if the contract wasn't signed yet when starting there. In the end we decided that I can just show my degree and sign the contract there in person when moving there in late September.

Next up I'll send a copy of this to my college as the financial guarantee, and maybe I'll try to figure if I can use this to get a British bank account.
